Here is something you will not read on most websites that are trying to sell you design services: most websites fail. How you position your site, what keywords you use, your copy and content are important, often overlooked elements of good design.

Say you have a cabin rental business. You could use "Smoky Mountain Cabin Rentals" as your target keywords. But unless you're prepared to spend a couple of years and thousands of dollars, you are unlikely to get on the first page.

Maybe you should consider other keywords instead. How about "Pet Friendly Cabin Rentals in the Smoky Mountains" or "Sevierville Cabin Rentals"? Yes, fewer hits, but a whole lot better chance of getting on the first page.
