Printing in Sevierville

You may not be aware of the changes in the Printing business over the last few years. Now long ago, I had a good bit of printing I needed done, and wanted to do some business here in Sevierville, so I want down to a small Print Shop. The owner and I started talking and we discover we are both getting our work done at the same place and he cannot possibly help me. There is a shop full of equipment which is not in use. He no longer prints in his Sevierville shop.

I have access to a West Coast printer’s facility. No, I don’t have a key to the door: I have access to the computer that drives the printing press. Sitting here in Sevierville, I can load my files into the printer in California, and they print about twenty minutes later. My order ships UPS that afternoon or the next day.

Automated print companies collect a stable of a few dozen Graphic Designers, and they are able to compete for small run business that was never available before. In other words, I can handle your print needs at a price your local Print Shop can’t touch. To the best of my knowledge, I'm the only Graphic Designer in Sevierville doing this type of work.

Ron, a friend of mine who has been in the printing business for most of his life, now uses me for his little stuff. A Print Broker uses me!! The business has changed. Now, having said that, if you need a big Web print job, say 20 thousand full color, folded and stapled booklets, I want to bid on that too. Did I mention a Print Broker is a good friend of mine?

Above are a couple of examples of pizza place menus I've worked on. The pizza logo is always fun to create! Often the menu and pizza logo are part of a bigger project including online ordering.
